Photographic Reflection specialize in fine art and freelance photography of the mid-Atlantic region. We maintain a stock image library of over 15,000 images geared toward the Chesapeake Bay, wetland life and landscape, historic sites in the region, adventure sports including climbing, kayaking and boating, and environmental and industrial city- and street- scapes of the Baltimore, Washington and Annapolis area. My experience in available light photography of the landscape and natural world comes from my love and knowledge of the land and my own attempt at recording man's hand upon our environment.

Some local projects currently underway are the documentation of Maryland's wetlands and the creation of a catalogue of images of Maryland's wildflowers. Projects I have recently completed include the photography of project landscape features, garden photography, and architectural photography for client marketing, exhibition, and wall art; location photography for newsletter features on open water kayaking on the Chesapeake Bay; presentation and brochure photography for local land trust preservation groups; and the cover art imagery and documentary photography for the book 'My River Speaks' by Marianne Taylor [ISBN 0-9665239-9-3]. The book provides an intimate history of the Magothy River basin area of Anne Arundel County, Maryland. As noted, we supply commercial images to various stock photography image libraries for magazine and brochure publications; and to various publications with a special emphasis in the field of gardening, history, adventure sports, and local special events. Since 1995 we have been working with images in a 'digital darkroom' environment providing training, digital retouching and digital services for local photographers and graphic artists. More recently, we have moved toward high-quality digital cameras which allow for a quicker product turn around with an extremely high reproduction quality.

We design and conduct available light photography field workshops for intermediate and advanced photographers and provide specialized training in digital photography and the digital darkroom.
